Lace up your running shoes! Run for Southlake returns raising over $330,000 for Southlake hospital
After two years of running the event virtually, hundreds of people were excited to lace up their running shoes and participate in the Nature's Emporium Run for Southlake on a sunny morning on Sunday April 24.
More than 800 participants ran or walked 5K along Davis Drive and past Southlake hospital to raise funds. To race day, this year's event has raised over $330,000 - which is close to the May 13 fundraising goal of $400,000.
"Today means so much to us. It has been a long two years, Keen Shoes For Women but we have come through stronger and more resilient together," said Arden Krystal, CEO of Southlake Regional Health Centre, while kicking off the event.
