The Savannah College of Art and Design is situated in the Historic District of Savannah, Georgia. With its Spanish moss and grand façades, the city isn’t an obvious location for an art school, let alone one with a robust fashion program that has produced designers Christopher John Rogers and Recho Omondi. This weekend, the school hosted its annual SCAD Fashion event, featuring a tribute to André Leon Talley and the senior and graduate collections fashion show. PHOENIX — Fashion meets Phoenix Suns fandom with the "Valley of the Suns" art show inside the Manor in Uptown Phoenix. The popular clothing store is known for featuring the hottest styles but right now it's spotlighting local creatives. Manor's owner, Jeremy Davis, opened the store's brick-and-mortar location in Uptown Plaza, Phoenix's first and oldest shopping center, in the Spring of 2016. The Italian luxury house has named Marco De Vincenzo as the new creative director for the women’s, men’s and home collections, effective June 1, 2022. Amazon opens its first brick-and-mortar fashion store today at The Americana at Brand, a shopping complex in Glendale, California. Announced earlier this year, the physical retail experience is described as a mix of Amazon Style app-based interactions, in-store styling-and-fitting services, online-to-IRL try-ons, and Amazon One palm-recognition-based checkouts—a blend of data-driven technology that makes the customer journey unique in the fashion space.
