Biden and Trump barrel into Super Tuesday, toward a likely November rematch despite voter concerns

United States President Joe Biden and former president Donald Trump are poised to move much closer to winning their parties' nominations on Tuesday during the biggest day of the primary campaign, despite many voters preferring something other than a November rematch from four years ago. Super Tuesday elections are being held in 16 states and one territory — from Alaska and California to Vermont and Virginia. Hundreds of delegates are at stake, the biggest haul for either party on any single day. While much of the focus is on the presidential race, there are also important down-ballot contests. Trump asks judge to cut the $128 million penalty in E. Jean Carroll case or grant him a new trial

Trump's lawyers said the jury should have been told they needed to find that it was Trump's "sole, exclusive desire to harm" Carroll. "This Court's erroneous decision to dramatically limit the scope...

British Army website claim that Kate would appear at Trooping the Colour removed

The British Army has swiftly removed a claim on its website that Catherine, the Princess of Wales, will attend a Trooping the Colour ceremony in June. That engagement would have been the first appearance announced for the 42-year-old royal since she underwent abdominal surgery. The announcement by the Ministry of Defence caused confusion, because Prince William and Kate's office, Kensington Palace, had not confirmed any scheduled public events for Kate. The BBC reported that the Army did not seek approval from the palace before publishing the page, which had a picture of Kate and copy stating she would be reviewing troops on 8 June. Kate has been out of the public eye since January, when palace officials announced that she was admitted to a private London hospital for...
