Titans Get AFC’s No. 1 Seed; Colts’ Loss Helps Steelers

Titans Get AFC’s No. 1 Seed; Colts’ Loss Helps Steelers

By TERESA M. WALKER, AP Pro Football Writer The AFC playoffs will be running through Music City, and the Tennessee Titans should have Derrick Henry back for their first game this postseason. The Tennessee Titans, who used an NFL-high 91 players for the most ever in a non-strike season, clinched their first No. 1 seed since 2008 and third overall. They needed only a win Sunday, though they made it interesting before holding off the team that replaced them in Houston 28-25 to clinch the AFC's top spot. Titans coach Mike Vrabel noted nobody hands out T-shirts and hats for clinching the top seed. “We understand we're in the Elite Eight," Vrabel said. “We’ve moved onto the second round of the playoffs without having to play a playoff game.” This postseas...

Carlson’s FG as OT Expires Sends Raiders Into Postseason

W.G. RAMIREZ, Associated Press LAS VEGAS (AP) — Daniel Carlson's 47-yard field goal as time expired in overtime lifted the Las Vegas Raiders past the Los Angeles Chargers 35-32 on Sunday night for their first playoff berth since 2016. And they eliminated their AFC West rivals in the process, while helping Pittsburgh advance. Las Vegas survived Los Angeles’ late-game comeback built on a New York Giants Jersey  series of fourth-down conversions to force overtime. The Chargers tied it with a 12-yard TD pass from Justin Herbert to Mike Williams as time expired in regulation. Then each team made overtime field goals before Carlson won it. Carlson, three times the AFC special teams player of the week this season, kicked five field goals in the game. The R...

Klay Thompson Has 17 Points in Return, Warriors Beat Cavs

By MICHAEL WAGAMAN, Associated Press SAN FRANCISCO (AP) — Klay Thompson couldn’t wait to get his first shot up after more than 2 1/2 years away. Thompson’s running layup 40 seconds into Golden State's 96-82 victory over Cleveland on Sunday night was a sign that the five-time All-Star is feeling just fine — even if coach Steve Kerr drew up the play for someone else. “He wasn’t shy, was he?” Kerr said. “Not that we would ever expect Klay to be shy. I drew up the first play not for him but for him to catch it and move it on.Fjallraven Kanken Backpack I should have known better.” Thompson finished with 17 points in his return from two devastating injuries on a night when he was the toast of San Francisco. Thompson was 7 of 18 from the field and 3 of 8 f...

Blazer Mid 77 Coming Back with Contrasting Swooshes

After the recent release of the mid-1977 "Light Smoke Grey" and the mid-1977 "Chinese New Year", Nike has released yet another elegant yet subtle timeless silhouette. While the latest mid-'77 Blazer resembles a "light smoky grey" iteration that sees a return to alternating 2021Sneakers squares, the Swooshes come in contrasting red and blue. The shoe is again based on white leather covered in suede, with black "Nike" lettering sitting on the heel. Rounding out the shoe is the classic beige rubber sole. This latest product is quite different from the original as it has a brand new construction. Instead of a blocky, oversized midsole unit, the Beaverton brand created the shoe with a canvas upper, plush suede overlays and various exposed stitching that almost exudes a blueprint style atmospher...

How Payntr Golf Shoes Were Built From the Ground Up

In 2020, Forsey founded Payntr Golf Global — Payntr Golf’s parent company — with British cricket shoemaker David Paynter. Veteran golf shoe designer Michael Glancy joined as the company’s third partner in July. Glancy brings to the trio another...
