In a night of celebration and camaraderie, the Virginia Commonwealth University School of the Arts Department of Fashion Design + Merchandising last week held its first in-person fashion event since 2019. The fashion show, #PROCESS2022, showcased the hard work, talent and creativity of the department’s students. Wide receiver Bryan Edwards was picked up by the Atlanta Falcons in a trade with the Las Vegas Raiders on Friday. The Raiders traded Edwards and a conditional Boston Red Sox Jersey  seventh-round selection in the 2023 NFL Draft to Atlanta for the Falcons’ fifth-round pick next year. Edwards appeared in 29 games across two seasons in Las Vegas after he was drafted by the Raiders in the third round of the 2020 NFL Draft. Last season, he was the third-most productive pass catcher in Las Vegas, bringing in 34 receptions for 571 yards and three touchdowns. It's May in the NFL. The month of OTAs and hope springing eternal. Except where it really doesn't. Because we all know this is a league of haves and have nots. And it seems more extreme than ever as best I can tell, after an offseason of team after team making power moves. I believe this league is more divided than ever between the owners who are really going for it, and the ones mired in a rebuild and the ones on cruise control content – or relatively content – to reap the fiscal rewards while going through the motions on the roster side of things.
