It was a momentous week in late night. Full Frontal With Samantha Bee aired its 200th episode, and The Late Late Show With James Corden aired its 1,000th. Full Frontal is one of the few shows that has yet to get an audience back, and it made the 200th celebrations somewhat subdued. That, and Bee’s stuck reporting on how our abortion rights are being eroded, a topic oft covered in these 200 episodes. Corden’s 1,000th was full of pomp.  The National Football League's Players Association named Philadelphia Eagles safety Rodney McLeod its Week 14 Community MVP after his charitable gala Buy Cheap Yeezy 350  collected hundreds of sneakers and toys for local families ahead of Christmas. The "Art and Sole Sneaker Ball" was held Monday at Arts Ballroom in Center City and collected 250 pairs of shoes and 150 toys for Philadelphia families in need this holiday season. The gala featured a silent and live auction, music, and interactive stations. McLeod and his wife, Erika, head the Change Our Future philanthropic organization that "seeks to empower people through education, advocacy, and awareness in the areas of youth development, healthy lifestyles, and community enrichment." Holy rich people, Batman! Netflix and New Balance have teamed up for a limited edition pair of sneakers that celebrates the upcoming release of Adam McKay’s Don’t Look Up and they cost $13,200. At a recent meeting with friends (who happen to be clients of our firm), the wife asked me if she should buy some expensive shoes. This couple works hard and has a good income. They are excellent savers, putting away at least 30% of their income into retirement funds and after-tax accounts. They drive nice cars and have a beautiful home — all affordable to them.
