‘The Quad is here to stay’: Joe Biden’s vow as Indo-Pacific powers gather in USA for summit
The safety of Australia's backyard is the top priority for Anthony Albanese during the PM's visit to the US for the all-important Quad summit meeting.
Albanese was hosted by US President Joe Biden at his home in Delaware before meeting with leaders of the Quad alliance: Australia, the United States, Japan and India.
This week's meeting is the final chance for Biden to shore up the alliance for future administrations and the president made it clear it was a priority as his time in power comes to a close.
