A Ukrainian drone attack has killed a Russian actress who was giving a performance for troops, her theatre said.
Polina Menshikh died on November 19 when a dance hall in occupied eastern Ukraine was struck by an airstrike, reports the BBC.
She was giving a performance in a village about 60km from the front line to Russian soldiers on a military holiday.
Ukraine said about 20 Russian soldiers were killed in the attack, but Russian authorities have not commented on the incident.
A video on social media shows a woman, apparently Menshikh, singing and playing a guitar, in front of an audience wearing military uniforms before a blast is heard and the lights go out.
She later died in hospital from her injuries.
A Ukrainian army spokesperson confirmed to the BBC media reports of the drone strike.
The St Petersburg-based theatre company Portal linked with Menshikh said an upcoming performance of a play she had previously directed would be commemorated to her.
The drone attack happened in the n Donetsk region, in the area of eastern Ukraine occupied by Russia since 2014.
The region has been the scene of intense fighting between Ukrainian and Russian forces in recent months.
